Student Flying: Freshers Fayre 2011 at UKCStudent Flying: Freshers Fayre 2011 at UKC

The University of Kent Gliding Club was re-established in September 2010 as a result of a joint initiative by students at the University and club instructors David Pye and Chris Grebby.

It is run by a democratically elected volunteer committee of student members who are voted in at the end of each academic year. Their goal is to provide a friendly, accessible, and affordable path for students to learn the art of flying alongside their degree course. The University Club works very closely with the parent club - The Kent Gliding Club - who are excellent hosts, to achieve this for as many students as possible. By bringing in a steady stream of enthusiastic young pilots every year the University Club hopes to continue flying with the Kent Gliding Club for many years to come!
